Born in Llandaff, Cardiff, South Wales, my earliest memories are of Llandaff Cathedral’s stained glass windows. As a child my family emigrated to Australia and then settled in New Zealand. Whilst studying at Auckland University’s Elam School of Art, I became friends with the New Zealand poet, Sam Hunt, who encouraged my own writing. Poetry became a life-long interest and has continued alongside my career as a fine art painter.
I returned to Wales and then London after gaining entry to The Royal College of Art. Since then I have performed poetry at Chelsea Arts Club and had poems published in both student magazines and Art Club publications.
I now live in Deal, Kent, where I continue to paint and write.
